St. Susanna
Saint Susanna was a Roman noblewoman whom lived during the reign of Diocletian. She secretly took a vow of virginity and therefore refused to marry the son-in-law of Diocletian. St. Susanna piety was strong enough to convert not only relatives but also messengers sent to her by Maximian, her would be spouse. In a fit of revenge, Maximian had her beheaded for refusing to marry him. St. Susanna’s feast day is August 11th.
