St. Théodore Guérin
Saint Theodore Guerin is one of the most well-known Sisters of Providence. St. Theodore Guerin, as well as five other sisters, established the first Catholic women's liberal-arts college in the United States, the Academy of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. Furthermore, Saint Theodore Guerin formed numerous schools, pharmacies, and orphanages throughout the state of Indiana. St. Theodore Guerin's feast day is October 3rd.
