St. Margaret of Cortona
Saint Margaret Cortona is the patron of tramps, midwives, hobos, mentally ill people, and the falsely accused. She lost her mother at the age of 7 and eloped with a nobleman who bore her a son. The nobleman was brutally murdered 9 years later and therefore she took her son with her to live with a group of Friars. Saint Margaret Cortona then reformed her life as she developed an intense prayer life including frequent ecstasies and eventual accurate prophesy of her own death date. She had a great love for the poor and started a congregation known as the Poor Ones. St. Margaret Cortona's feast day is February 22nd.
