St. Kieran

Saint Kieran was considered the most learned monk at Clonard. He was charitable to the poor to the point that it almost bankrupted the abbey of Isel of which he was a brother monk. Saint Kieran went on to found the Clonmacnoise abbey in West Meath Ireland and was the first abbot there. He was also a known miracle worker. St. Kieran's feast day is September 9th.
