St. John the Baptist
Saint John the Baptist is the patron of tailors, lambs, converts, farriers, baptism, and monastic life. He was a prophet and cousin to Jesus. Saint John the Baptist converted as he preached repentance and prepared for the coming of Jesus Christ into public ministry. He was beheaded because of Herodias's jealousy and vengeance. St. John the Baptist's feast day is August 29th.
