St. Genesius

Saint Genesius of Rome is the patron of comedians, dancers, actors, musicians, printers, and torture victims. He was an actor in many plays that mocked Christianity. While performing a piece mocking baptism, he had a sudden wisdom of God and a conversion experience on stage. Saint Genesius of Rome refused to renounce his faith even at the orders of emperor Diocletian. He was then martyred by beheading. St. Genesius's feast day is August 25th.
