St. Francis Xavier

Saint Francis Xavier is the patron of navigators, missionaries, African missions, India, Japan, China, and New Zealand. He was the first missionary Jesuit priest and began his missionary activity in Goa, India. Throughout his missionary life he baptized over 40,000 converts and is remember for having baptized 10,000 people in a single month. Saint Francis Xavier was known throughout the Far East for his care for the poor, humility, miracles, speaking in tongues, prophetic powers, and healing powers. St. Francis Xavier's feast day is December 3rd.
