St. Dunstan
Dunstan was a Benedictine monk, hermit, and eventually abbot of Glastonbury Abbey. Dunstan transformed the Abbey into a renowned place of learning, and also revitalized other monasteries in the area. Dunstan became involved in politics and served as chief advisors to three successive kings of England. Dunstan has been referred to as the reviver of Monasticism in England. Dunstan is the patron saint of armorers, goldsmiths, locksmiths, and jewelers. His feast day is celebrated on May 19th.
