St. Amelia
Amelia was born in 741 into a devout Christian family. Amelia made the decision to join the convent, however there were many men after her affection because of her immense beauty. Eventually Amelia was able to realize her hopes of becoming a nun, and devoting her life to God. Amelia spent the rest of her life helping to build and run a Church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and is said to have performed many miracles at this Church. St. Amelia is the patroness of fishermen, and of arm pains. Her feast day is celebrated on July 10th.
