St. Aedan of Ferns

St. Aedan (also called Maedoc) was appointed first bishop, and now patron of Ferns in Ireland. Aedan founded thirty churches in the county of Wexford during his time as bishop. St. Aedan of Ferns' feast day is celebrated on January 31st.
