Praying the Beatitudes with the Chaplet of the Order is a special booklet that accompanies the Chaplet of the Order of Malta.  The devotion to the Beatitudes is centuries old, but this newly approved sacramental is an exciting new way to expand our knowledge of the Beatitudes and grow this centuries old devotion.  The Beatitude prayers which accompany the Chaplet of the Order were approved in 2021 by the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina for use by the faithful.  The devotion to the Beatitudes dates back for several centuries.  Members of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Malta have prayed with the chaplet with the intentions of the Order: Defense of the Faith and Service to the Sick and the Poor. 

Praying the Beatitudes with the Chaplet of the Order guides the reader through this rich devotion to the Beatitudes, which are the “Way” Christ teaches us to live our Christian lives of virtue. This booklet includes in-depth directions to pray the chaplet, beginning with the Prayer of the Order, followed by additional prayers including the Examination of Personal Efforts in Defense of the Faith, the Examination of Personal Service for the Poor and the Sick, and Intercessory Prayers to Our Lady of Philermo, St. John the Baptist, and Blessed Gerard. These prayers are followed by in-depth reflections on the Beatitudes. This booklet also includes further explanation on this centuries-old devotion. Images in the booklet have been carefully selected to aid Knights and Dames in the contemplation of each prayer.
