Even though she had this great fear of water, her passion to bring God to people and people to God helped her overcome it. At the direction of the Pope, she came to the USA from Italy to serve the needs of poor immigrants and help them make a better life in America. She set up sixty-seven schools, hospitals, and orphanages, one for every year of her life.
