Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati

Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati is the patron of World Youth Day. He is remembered for promoting Eucharistic adoration, Marian devotion, and personal chastity. Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati spent his fortune supporting the poor and enrolled as a Dominican tertiary in 1922. He staunchly opposed Fascism and became involved in political groups such as the Catholic Student Federation and Catholic Action. Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati's feast day is July 4th.
