Bl. Caroline Gerhardinger

Caroline Gerhardinger was born into a working class family in 1797. She began a new religious order dedicated to Christian education, which later became the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Caroline took the religious name Teresa, and soon became known as Teresa of Jesus for her devotion to the true presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Teresa was beatifided in 1985.
